Palestinian Territories - A team from the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor completed in October a five-day intensive course titled, “Five Steps in Human Rights Strategies” led by the organization’s Amman-based legal researcher, Inas Zayed.

Conducted via videoconference, the training focused on five steps for organizing, staffing and implementing human rights investigations and advocacy—ranging from definition of the issue, to documenting the problem, to identifying action steps, to seeking out allies.

Mohammed Seyam, another Euro-Med Monitor legal researcher, explained, “This course gave us all a firm grounding in creating a common vision, as well as practical tools to use and steps to take to draft a work plan, orient team members and define desired results.”
